How do I create a MyTandridge account?

• Visit MyTandridge account.
• Enter your first name, last name, e-mail address, postcode and mobile number. 
• Agree and accept the website terms and conditions and privacy notice. 
• Select your address from the drop down list. 
• Go to your e-mails. You'll have received an e-mail from MyTandridge account (you may need to check your junk folder). Click on the verification link within the e-mail. 
• Create and confirm your password. 
• You now have access to your MyTandridge account homepage.

I am trying to create a MyTandridge account but my address is not listed?

You can only have a MyTandridge account if: 

• You live in the Tandridge District. 
• Your businesses is registered in the Tandridge District. 

If this applies to you but you cannot see your home or business address, please contact customer services. 

If you are a landlord with property in the district but don't live in the district, you can't create a MyTandridge account. However, you can report a change of tenancy by contacting customer services.

Who can have a MyTandridge account?

Residents or businesses in the Tandridge District can sign up for a MyTandridge account.

Why is MyTandridge account locked?

If you enter the wrong login details three times, your MyTandridge account may be temporarily locked. Please wait 30 minutes before trying to reset your password. If the issue continues, please contact customer services. 

Why am I getting a warning saying my caps lock is on when it is not?

Some customers may see an error message saying that caps lock is on when setting up a MyTandridge acount password, even if it isn't. We know about this and we are working to fix it. Please ignore the warning and continue creating your password as normal.

Under my details, my property address is wrong, how do I update this?

Click on update my details to change your property address.

When clicking on a link I receive the error message- access denied by page security check.

Please close the webpage and click on the link again. If the issue still occurs, please contact customer services. 

Who do I contact if I have problems or questions?

Is my information safe?

Yes, it’s secure. We take the protection of resident data very seriously. All data is safely stored and can only be accessed through secure login details. For more information on data protection, visit www.tandridge.gov.uk/data.

What if I don't have access to the internet or a smartphone? 

If you don't have internet access and therefore can't access these online features, you can still use our automated telephone payment line on 03300 884684 or talk to one of our officers.

I have created a MyTandridge account, but can't see my council tax information. Why is this?

To view your council tax information, you need to create two accounts - a MyTandridge accoutn and an online council tax account, then link them. If you already have a council tax account, you still need to create a MyTandridge account and connect the two. Here is what you need to do next: 

1.    Sign in or create a MyTandridge account. 

2.    From the MyTandridge account homepage, click link my council tax account  

3.    Sign in or create your online council tax account, using your name, council tax billing number and postcode exactly as they appear on your council tax bill.

Can I link more than one online council tax account to MyTandridge account?

Yes, once you have created your MyTandridge account and linked it to your online council tax account, you will be able to see all the details of your active council tax accounts, automatically.

Why am I getting the following error message - we cannot find a council tax account linked to you, if your enquiry is regarding business rates, please log into the relevant page from the council website. Please click the return to LA portal link? 

Your MyTandridge account will only let you see information that is registered to you and where you are responsible. For example, Mrs Smith is a business owner who has successfully linked her MyTandridge account with her business rates account. However, when she tires to create an online council tax account, she gets an error message. This happens because the council tax is registered to Mr Smith - his name is on the council tax bill and he is the one responsible.

When registering for an online business rates account, should I register as a person or organisation?

Use the organisation option and enter the full business name exactly as it appears on your bill, including any hyphens, paratheses, ltd, or Inc. In some cases, your business rates account might have been set up under your name by mistake. If this happens, please e-mail businessrates@tandridge.gov.uk and put MyTandridge account error in the subject line.

I have created a MyTandridge account, but can't see my benefits information. Why is this?

In addition to creating your MyTandridge Account, you will also need to create an online benefits account and link the two accounts. If you already have an online benefits account, you still need to create a MyTandridge Account and link them to view your benefits information. To do this, follow these steps: 

1.    Sign up for a MyTandridge Account. 

2.    From the homepage, click “Apply or update my benefits claim”  

3.    Sign in to your online benefits account using your name, date of birth, national insurance number and postcode as they appear on your benefits notification reference letter.

If you have not made a claim yet, you can use the links to start a new claim. However, you will not be able to sign up to view your claim summary until your claim has been processed and you have received a benefit notification letter from us.
